Interior Layout Design | Benediction

I did the text design and typesetting for this project. There was a lot of fun text elements in this book including letters, telegraphs and a newspaper article that all needed to be distinct from the body text. This project really gave me a chance to stretch myself as a designer and I was excited for the challenge. I was inspired by the cover design and incorporated some of the detail into the interior. I used the display type on the cover for the part titles and the flourish to tie the two designs together. I wanted the design to be a modern take on the old west. Cover design by Alysia Shewchuk.
